WHY DO I NEED TO PAY A WEEK'S RENT?

One week’s rent is the fee for MyBond’s service.

HOW DO WE CALCULATE OUR FEE?

The only upfront fee is one week’s rent. No interest. No repayments. If you stay on your lease longer than 12 months there is a renewal fee of 2.08% of the total rental bond charged monthly.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE ALREADY CREATED MY RENTAL BOND ONLINE ACCOUNT?

If you have already created the account, we ask that you get your agent to delete the account and re-issue you the link. Once you have received this link please forward this to support@mybond.com.au

WHEN WILL YOU PAY MY BOND?

Provided that MyBond receives all the requirements to process your application, bond payments are issued out at 11am and 3 pm on any given business day.

WHAT IF MY BOND IS URGENT?

If you need your bond paid outside of our normal bond processing times, you will incur additional fees. Breakdown of urgent payment fees as follows:

Business Hours 8:30 am - 6:00 pm = $55 (includes $5 GST)
Outside Business Hours 6 pm - 9 pm = $110 (includes $10 GST)
Weekends & Public Holidays = $165 (includes $15 GST)

WHAT IF I STAY LONGER THAN 12 MONTHS?

If you stay longer than 12 months there is a flat monthly fee that is payable. This is equal to 2.08% of the bond value. So if your bond is $2,000, the monthly fee is $41.60.

WHAT IF I LOSE SOME OF THE BOND?

If you lose some of your bond. Don’t worry, you can simply pay us the difference back on an interest_free basis. This means if your bond is $2,000 and we only get back $1,800 when you move out. You will need to pay us the $200 back.

DO YOU DO CREDIT CHECKS?

We do not do credit checks. We don’t think a credit check is an accurate way to show how you treat the property you live in. We are not a credit provider, nor we are loaning you the money and instead we pay your rental bond to the rental bond board. There the process does not affect your credit history.

I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO PROVIDE A GUARANTOR?

In certain situations we will ask you to provide a guarantor, this is because we have determined that your application is a little bit more risky than what we like. So for us to help you we need someone else to vouch for you. This person needs to be over 18 and have valid photo identification.

WILL YOU CONTACT MY AGENT?

No we will not contact your agent, unless we need to in order to process your application or if you reside in Victoria.

DO YOU DO PRIVATE RENTALS? MY PROPERTY ISN’T MANAGED BY A REAL ESTATE AGENT

We do support private rentals. As long as your landlord is registered and is lodging the rental bond with the rental bond board.

YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN MY STATE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Currently MyBond is available in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia. We are in the process of making our service available Nationally. If you need emergency assistance your state will have their own government funded bond loan solution.
